Plymouth Argyle first team coach Kevin Nancekivell lauded the greens never-say-die attitude as Julio Pleguezuelo’s stoppage time goal secured a 2-2 home draw with West rivals Bristol City in front of 17,000 at rainswept Home Park.

Nancekivell said he was “pleased with a point, thought we deserved it. We had the better of the first half. Bristol City had the better of the second half so I was delighted when we came back.”

Managerless Plymouth Argyle kicked off 2025 with a 2-2 Championship draw at home to West rivals Bristol City following a stoppage time leveller from Julio Pleguezuelo.

The Spanish central defender acrobatically fired home after Adam Randell’s free kick dropped into the six yard box following an aerial challenge between sub Michael Obafemi and City defender Zak Vyner.
