From the depths of despair a week earlier Bodmin Town bounced back with a Christmas special performance to beat rivals Wadebridge Town.Their 3-0 win in front of 305 supporters at Priory Park on Boxing Day came courtesy of two goals from in-form striker Dan Jennings and a last minute Jason Vincent strike.

Twenty-five hours later the derby action switched to the north coast where Newquay spoilt the party with an emphatic performance and victory at Godolphin Way.The G men had been impressive in winning 2-1 at St Blazey in their last match but an outbreak of Covid at the club had certainly had its effect by the time the neighbours came to visit.
