South West strokeplay champions
Somerset are the only unbeaten side following the matchplay rounds at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club.
After qualifying for the English County Finals at Trevose in style, Justin Lane's side powered to their fourth Matchplay Shield win beating Devon by the biggest score of South West Week on Thursday and then rallying for a final round draw with Cornwall.

Cornwall Cricket Premier League leaders Truro CC visit St Austell CC today – and unlike last Saturday the sun is set to shine on club cricketers across the region this weekend.
Defending champions St Just CC host Helston CC , Penzance CC play Grampound Road CC, promoted Hayle CC entertain Redruth CC while Falmouth CC travel to Werrington CC.

Will Poole and Jamie Clare were in red hot form as Somerset’s super six scorched through to September’s English County Finals on sun-kissed home turf at Weston-super-Mare Golf Club.
Poole posted back to back 65s to finish 10 under and pip Sam Sloman to the South West amateur championship title by one shot.

Falmouth CC and Truro CC won rescheduled Cornwall Cricket Vinter Cup quarter finals last night to set up a semi final clash.
Troon CC were restricted to 76-6 at Falmouth who went on to win by six wickets with five overs to spare.

Penzance CC won the first major Cornwall Cricket League silverware of summer by winning a low-scoring Premier 40/40 Cup final against Truro CC by 63 runs at Hayle CC.
Penzance made 111 all out with player of the match Christian Purchase holding the innings together with a patient 52.
