Exeter Diamonds got their Premier Squash League campaign off to a sparkling start following a 3-2 opening group B win at UWE Bristol.
Frenchman and former Bristol player Mathieu Castagnet clinched victory for Exeter with a 62-minute win over Irishman Arthur Gaskin.

The selection process for this season’s England Under 16 rugby team is about to start.
The first inter county matches take place on Sunday October 14, kicking off in the South West with the cross-Tamar clash of Devon v Cornwall in the east of the host county at Bicton College, East Budleigh.

Exeter Diamonds start the new Premier Squash League 2012-13 season with an all-South West group B derby at Bristol UWE tonight (1900).
Diamonds first home fixture is on October 16 against last year’s runners-up TWP St George’s Hill at Devon & Exeter Squash & Racketball Club (Prince of Wales Road).

Wiltshire retained England Golf’s men’s county championship title when they tied with Lancashire on a dramatic final day at Beau Desert GC in Staffordshire.
Both unbeaten counties finished with the same match points but Wiltshire claimed the title 18-17 on games won.
