Four more Olympic gold medals are heading back to the University of Bath after another incredible morning of swimming for Team GB at Tokyo 2020.Sporting scholar Tom Dean won his second gold in just over 24 hours as he and British Swimming National Centre Bath team-mates James Guy and Matt Richards teamed up with Duncan Scott to win the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay title in sensational style.

Former Hampshire batsman Oli Soames led Dorset to an eight wickets win over Wiltshire at Wimborne with his second half century of the match. Soames followed up his first innings 55 with 91 from 114 balls to see Dorset home in some comfort in a low-scoring contest.

University of Bath student Tom Dean produced the swim of his life this morning to win 200m freestyle gold for Team GB at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.Mechanical Engineering student Dean, who is supported by a Bill Whiteley Sporting Scholarship, took a quarter of a second off his personal best to clock a new British record of 1:42.22 in an incredible final and pip fellow Team GB star Duncan Scott to victory by four-hundredths of a second.

An intriguing final day is in prospect today in National Counties Western Division One at Wimborne where Wiltshire have a lead of 130 over Dorset with four second innings wickets left.A half century from former Hampshire batsman Oli Soames, who was last out, restricted Wiltshire’s first innings lead to 22. Off-spinner Joe King took four for 50 for Wiltshire.
