They fell behind to a 14th minute strike by Godolphin skipper Josh Pope and although the ever Green & Black Liam Eddy equalised before half-time, the visitors had the final say.

Western LeaguelogoTop scorer Rikki Shepherd marked his return to the side with two goals as Millbrook stretched their unbeaten run, without conceding a goal, to six matches at Brislington on Saturday.

Shepherd had been unavailable for three of the last four Millbrook fixtures but he proved he has lost none of his sharpness by netting in the 59th and 87th minutes, his 18th and 19th goals of the season.

Andrew Westgarth’s side recovered from a nightmare start, during which they conceded a goal, to bounce back in style with an equaliser before half-time and two more goals early in the second half.

Ivys 600x600IVYBRIDGE Town extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 5-1 home win over Sidmouth Town in the South West Peninsula League at a wet and windy Erme Valley on Saturday.

The result looked comfortable but Ivybridge were indebted to goalkeeper Kane Gregory, who pulled off his second penalty save in successive matches when he kept out a spot kick from Will Jenkins in the 20th minute.
